The high country is melting out, and we're chomping at the bit to run steep and run high.
We'll be running the High Lonesome Loop- a 15-mile-long, 3,400' vert alpine loop that reaches a summit altitude of 12,000' above sea level. You can find the route here.
We spend several miles on the continental divide, so in order to finish before the afternoon storms roll in, we will need to start early! Plan to meet at the Nederland High School Parking Lot to take the free shuttle to the Hessie Trailhead.
This will likely take several hours, so please bring enough fuel, fluids, and gear to support yourself during the run.
Due to unpredictable weather, please pay close attention to Slack and Instagram for last-minute reschedules.
Afterward, we'll head into Nederland for pizza and beverages at Crosscut Pizza.
